Country code article moves[edit]

I moved and made redirects per your request. Next time, you can request a move by filing a request at WP:RM under the Uncontroversial requests section. Or you can create an account and not have to worry about moving anything. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:54, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for moving those pages around, but ooops Talk:+690 Talk:+687 Talk:+686 Talk:+685 Talk:+683 Talk:+682 Talk:+681 Talk:+678 Talk:+672 I made a few more before I saw your note. -- (talk) 21:29, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Those were all taken care of via WP:RM ([1]). Thanks whoever fixed that! -- (talk) 07:45, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

The next batch are posted to WP:RM ([2]) moving the pages from numeric titles to the correct geographic place names. -- (talk) 19:55, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi, just letting you know I've moved those articles you listed at WP:RM. Thanks for all your contributions, but you may find it easier to create an account. You certainly don't have to create an account, but you may find it less of a hassle to be able to create and move articles yourself. Just something for you to consider. Best -- Jenks24 (talk) 20:19, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the move. There's one final question at Talk:Telephone numbers in Niue Island. -- (talk) 20:53, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
No worries. I've replied to you at Talk:Telephone numbers in Niue Island. -- Jenks24 (talk) 21:35, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Have you got time for two more? They are Talk:+856 and Talk:Afghanistan telephone and mobile dialing codes -- (talk) 12:43, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Done both. Thanks for bringing this up. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 12:56, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
That was amazingly fast. Thanks! I don't think there are any others now. -- (talk) 12:57, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Another few moves are posted at WP:RM ([3]) -- (talk) 22:07, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi again. I was just about to do the ones you posted, before I realised that if I moved them to +XXX, wouldn't I just have to move them again straight after to the properly named articles? For example, instead of going Talk:+977 --> +977 --> Telephone numbers in Nepal, why not just skip the middle and go Talk:+977 --> Telephone numbers in Nepal? Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 00:03, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
If you do that then the necessary redirects aren't then going from the right place, as listed at List of country calling codes. The two steps are necessary. If you make the first move, I'll take care of the intermediate problem. -- (talk) 00:14, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough. I've done the ones you requested at RM. -- Jenks24 (talk) 00:27, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
I've posted the second batch at WP:RM ([4]), but not before fixing the other part of the problem which also eliminates the potential for a crazy redirect chain from Talk:+Old to Talk:NewName to +Old to NewName. -- (talk) 00:37, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
All done. Regarding the notice below, I'm pretty sure that was just a mistake from Miguel and I've left him a note on his talk page about it. Don't worry about it and thanks again for your work. -- Jenks24 (talk) 00:41, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot! I'll also take a look at the last few missing entries over the next few days. -- (talk) 00:46, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

The last few major places in Asia are posted at WP:RM ([5]). Thanks! -- (talk) 21:16, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the move. The second stage, moving from numeric to named places, is now posted to WP:RM ([6]). -- (talk) 07:19, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

The first part of the final batch are now posted to WP:RM ([7]). -- (talk) 14:28, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
The final batch of requested moves from numeric page names to named places is now posted at WP:RM ([8]). This batch of locations in the Americas completes the main "by continent" list of missing articles. -- (talk) 23:06, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

I created the redirect you requested at +993. You can request redirects to be created at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects. Are you sure you don't want to create an account? Your work would be much easier if you created an account as you wouldn't have to wait for others to move pages or create redirects. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:52, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the redirect. I can see that Wikipedia could become rather addictive but I'm resisting getting a lot more involved as I have a huge pile of other things that I should be doing. We're using this data internally in a programming project and it's useful to also have it on public view where other people might supply updates and corrections. It's also useful for the rest of the world to have the data for whatever purpose they want to use it for. -- (talk) 21:13, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Missing articles[edit]

From more than 60 articles missing just a few weeks ago, the list is now down to:

Quick links[edit]

Why is +246 redirected to a Talk page? The Mark of the Beast (talk) 01:37, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi again :) Just letting you know that this redirect was deleted because, technically, redirects are not supposed to lead to talk pages. Anyway, I re-created it and it's now pointing at the Telephone numbers in the British Indian Ocean Territory article, which is where I assume you meant it to lead. If not, please correct it. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 08:39, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

New Year[edit]

Hopefully coming back in the new year for another stint at fixing a few more pages in this category. -- (talk) 14:07, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
