1. The World Snooker Championship was sponsored by 888.com NOT 888 Poker 2. Learn how to spell "tournament". 3. If you repeat your vandalism, you will be banned from editing without any further warning. -- Arwel (talk) 00:09, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why am I getting snotty messages from you about changes I did not make? I merely mentioned the length of the match. Perhaps false accusations should be banning offences. Biglobiglo 01:03, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arwel is wrong. It was an easy mistake to make. A user with very similar IP to yours made the change directly before you. Confusion can happen because of IPs. It is better to create a user name. That way, no confusion results. Arwel is a good contributor. Sometimes even the best of us make the odd mistake. Please do keep contributing. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 00:40, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're right. You got caught in the crossfire of a spate of vandalism from other IP addresses within a very few minutes, and that comment was intended for the editor immediately before you. Sorry. -- Arwel (talk) 00:43, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

These things to happen. That's why I recommend creating a user name. There is far less room for confusion, and it means that you have a personality, so your reputation as a good contributor goes before you. Every time an IP edits we have no idea if they are a genuine user or a vandal, so every IP's edits gets checked to be safe. You may be the best editor in the world, but people can't recognise one 9 digit number from another. Names are easier to recognise.

I suppose we'd better add in the welcome template. :)

I'm actually an old hand but maybe I should read those manuals some time :) 82.18.174.37 01:07, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
