Hello, I'm Shellwood. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Carles Puigdemont, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Shellwood (talk) 09:26, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I have now responded to both of you on your talk pages. I don't understand why you are preventing me from adding some very relevant and sourced information to the page of this person? Is wikipedia a haven for fugitives from justice? Why won't you accept the Huffington post and El Mundo as reliable sources?

Yes, you are committing vandalism. The opinion articles that you shared don't support any of your points. In one of your articles, Puigdemont is only mentioned one time, where nothing of what you tried to add is mentioned. There's already a section about Puigdemont's family in Wikipedia with reliable sources: Carles Puigdemont#Early life and family. There you can easily see by yourself why your statement about "Puigdemont's family were Francoists" is completely false. --193.153.77.68 (talk) 18:47, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. I disagree completely that I am committing vandalism, and that's certainly not my intention. The article that I referred to is entirely about Puigdemont and gives plenty of evidence that Puigdemont's grandfather became a francoist half way through the civil war. Several other members of his family had positions within the Francoist local administration. This is a fact well known throughout Spain and it is remarkable that it is entirely missing on his page. I could find other sources to support this, but El Mundo should be enough.

The other source is by a reputed academic historian and I could give many more references to the links and deep support that catalan carlism provided Franco with. Is one reference not enough?
