Tamil language epigraphic records[edit]

It is a single reading that has not been properly analyzed and published in academic journals yet. We cant hang the whole theory on one finding, it has to get mainstream consensus. Thanks Kanatonian (talk)

This is what can become a astarting point of a new theory
Coningham, R.A.E; Allchin, F.R.; Batt, C.M., "Passage to India?Anuradhapura and the early use of Brahmi Script", Cambridge Archeological Journal 6: 73-97
The above finding of 4th century BCE in Sri Lanka has changed many peoples minds about the date of Brahmi as well as Tamil Brahmi. When Porunthal gets that kind of attention, then it wiull change Tamil Brahmi/Damili starting point as well.Kanatonian (talk) 14:27, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
