Information.svg Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:14, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Bašagić[edit]

The thing is that I translated some text from the hr. Wikipedia (Forgot about that). The other sentence is fine nevertheless. --Wüstenfuchs 18:26, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

South Slavs[edit]

I'm generally pleased that my revert resulted in a better referenced article. I've no idea what you're talking about WRT earlier edit, because I can't find it in your contribution history. I'll ignore your assumption of bad faith, but you need to be aware:

In a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user editing Balkans-related articles in a disruptive way. If you engage in further inappropriate behaviour in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article/topic ban. Thank you.

Either way, if you put Bosnians in the same context as early Croats and Serbs without references, you're on a slippery slope because there's simply too huge a gap between the 600s and the first mentions of Bošnjani that happened no earlier than the 1100s. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 17:04, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

The problem is that you appeared to change the context of the referenced sentence in a way that fits a narrative. I can't count the number of times I've rolled back anonymous edits like that that were pure vandalism. In the future when you see a thing like that, please remove the old reference or even better add a new one to avoid the impression of tampering with referenced information. Indeed, registering an account would be even better - you'd keep your anonymity (in fact you would gain some) and other editors would be less likely to misread your intentions. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:21, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
Sadly Wikipedia:Changing username says: It is not possible to re-assign edits identified with an IP address (made while not logged in). What you can do is put {{User previous account|90.230.54.125}} on your new user page. This is recommended at WP:SOCK#LEGIT and in general it would be a fine demonstration of good faith. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:55, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
