Request reason:

Open Source projects rely on the principles of transparency, as Wikipedia itself. Denying an article for a well known open source project released under the Apache license is basically a violation of Wikipedias own values and not a self promotion. 91.141.71.68 (talk) 21:52, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

While we are certainly proud to be open-source and supportive of the open-source community, that most emphatically does not extend to granting those behind open-source projects special privileges to write articles here telling the world that they're the "leading, most up-to-date" exemplar of their particular product. IBM doesn't get to say that about themselves (while of course they may quote and attribute other reliable third-party sources saying that) and neither do you (with the same caveat, of course ... in fact, may I humbly suggest that time spent writing a great Wikipedia adarticle about your product might actually be better spent making the product itself better?) — Daniel Case (talk) 06:43, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
