Information icon Hello, I'm That Tired Tarantula. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Oksana Baiul, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. That Tired TarantulaBurrow 19:59, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I changed the names of Baiul's parents and coach to proper Ukrainian transliteration, considering the fact they were Ukrainian. "Sergey" is a russian name, as well as Marina and Galina, while in Ukrainian they are Serhii, Maryna and Halyna Zmiievska respectively. To check it, see: https://www.ukrainianlanguage.org.uk/read/reference/translit.htm 91.219.254.76 (talk) 20:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
interesting edit.
do you have a source with their names in that manner Augmented Seventh (talk) 20:09, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can check information on them in Ukrainian wikipedia and use check the proper transliteration according to the table I have sent earlier. The case is, the names are not translated, they have to be reproduced through transliteration/transcription, for example, Ukrainian name Сергій (Baiul's father's name) would be Serhii, not Sergey, as Sergey is a transliteration of a russian name Сергей, not Ukrainian Сергій. 91.219.254.76 (talk) 20:14, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
