Renaming of Hartsfield International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport[edit]
The name of Atlanta's airport in the snowfall report section has been corrected to "Hartsfield International Airport" because this was the name of the airport at the time of the storm. It was only renamed to its current name of "Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport" considerably later as a commemoration to the late mayor Maynard Jackson who was alive (and actually mayor of the city) during the Blizzard of 1993.
