Very well said.

My username is Canadiandy and I have been complaining about this bias for months. Eventually one of the administrators (Tedder) took a swipe at me by calling me a troll and so I basically dropped out of the discussion.

In the page you will find the following;

1. The senior contributors are johnfoxe and COgden. Foxe who will come across as very diplomatic contribuor, but he has clearly identified Joseph Smith as a fraud, a liar, and an adulterer and who is clearly biased against the LDS Church. COgden defines himself as a Liberal Mormon or a "New Mormon Historian." He describes himself as a Mormon, but his opinions are far from typical of the LDS mainstream.

2. If you identify yourself as LDS, the only input which will be tolerated from you is that which is critical of Joseph Smith. Anything you say which (gasp) dares to suggest Joseph Smith is a good man will be quickly scrutinized ad nauseum and opposed by those controlling the page.

3. The senior administrator, Tedder, views Mormons as whiners and so he favors Foxe, and COgden, and even a guy named Duke53, but gets annoyed when I dare to call bias in the page. I even went so far as to ask him to find any page which was more biased and that was the point at which he called me a "troll" (yeah sounds childish, I know) and refused to acknowledge me.

4. You may think I am giving up on the truth here, but I basically gave up on Wikipedia. As they say (or was it Nietzche) "The iron dice are loaded." As a matter of point I think the critics here are helping our cause as they "Kick against the prickles." Fair-minded people (who I optimistically believe are in the majority) reading this will be left asking, "Wow, this isn't at all what I learned from World Book Encyclopedia or PBS." And they will then look for alternate sources like The end result is these clearly biased critics are telling people to "Ignore the elephant in the room."

My advice, let this one go, you'll find a closed and cynical group dynamic which will only annoy you over time. And in the end, the Mormon-haters will rule the day. So, just drop in once a month, restate the obvious bias in the article, and spend more time with your family.

If you don't, Tedder will get you (by get you I mean malign you, dismiss you, call you a troll, and then ignore you).

Check out what I have written, and then ask yourself if I was far off the mark or disrespectful in any way.

Oh yeah, if you're interested in real bias, check out the item on Mark Hofmann (letter bomber). It has the impact of praising Hofmann for tricking a "naive" church leadership. Yep, even though the evidence proved the Church was cautious, and Hofmann a serial killer, Wikipedia (thanks to johnfoxe and a few others)turns this murderer into Robin Hood.

Drop me a line if you get a chance.
