Hello all.. I've been around a bit, so don't need greeting.. but will undoubtedly continue to need help in the fine points of wiki mark-up if i happen to end up doing an edit. Spotted Owl (talk) 02:29, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bipolar spectrum[edit]

Hi, I've been reading your post on BP spectrum's talk, and I may say that I agree in every single point. Now I've finished BPD for the spanish wikipedia, and is a FA candidate. Next one will be Bipolar Disorder, which is now in documentation stage. I need some advice on general approach, so I would be grateful if you can help me on this point. In addition I would like to know your opinion about BPD being a part of Bipolar spectrum (maybe one of the extremes, being the other unipolar depression). Thank you in advance. --Gustavocarra (talk) 21:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC) Please write me in my talk page at the spanish wikipedia: Talk:gustavocarra[reply]

INFP[edit]

Well you piqued my interest about what the whole INFP business was about and the humanmetrics.com Jung Typology Test stated i was also an INFP type, so you're not as alone as you might think. I agree you have to be thick skinned for wikipedia though. There are a large amount of people just waiting to add their thoughts to wikipedia whilst having zero idea what an encyclopedia actually is. I would go as far to say 30-40% of editors have never used a traditional encyclopedia. Thus problems are inevitable.

If you're looking to avoid confrontation then i suppose focussing on various clean up tasks are the only choice. It's obvious that articles like Michael Jackson and evolution are constant battlegrounds. However vandalism is always part of the parcel. Even nice little topics like Blackbird[1] and Nudibranch[2] get the vandal treatment.

Don't be put off by vandals and wiki-markup! Good luck on the whole mental health/personality style articles you're working on though. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 10:39, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for the words of kindness and comfort on my talk page. They help to give me strength in this terrible period. It is people like you who make me see that we are not only connected by the internet, but by the heart. With much love, Jeffpw (talk) 07:43, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Survey request[edit]

Hi,
I need your help. I am working on a research project at Boston College, studying creation of medical information on Wikipedia. You are being contacted, because you have been identified as an important contributor to one or more articles.

Would you will be willing to answer a few questions about your experience? We've done considerable background research, but we would also like to gather the insight of the actual editors. Details about the project can be found at the user page of the project leader, geraldckane. Survey questions can be found at geraldckane/medsurvey. Your privacy and confidentiality will be strictly protected!

The questions should only take a few minutes. I hope you will be willing to complete the survey, as we do value your insight. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Professor Kane if you have any questions.

Thank You, Sam4bc (talk) 15:57, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback...[edit]

Would like to chat with you. I disagree on your clinical definition on / of MANY points. However, I also see many similarities in my personal life (highly successful; plenty of angst). I would welcome a debate if you have available time. You are welcome to record every word, and publish. I will give full academic disclosure (as I assume you are either a doctor or scientist). if you are a Dr and Scientist w/ balls.... let's chat. I would like to understand me. - Gene —Preceding unsigned comment added by Netwheel (talkcontribs) 09:52, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
