[edit]Hello, I'm Leonidlednev. I noticed that you recently removed content from AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Hi Leonidlednev,
- Thank you for reaching out.
- Yes, I made the edits for a few reasons:
- 1. I removed a reference that is currently inaccessible (suspended), which renders it unreliable.
- 2. After extensive research, including reviewing press releases, I could not find any reputable sources confirming that the Governor or his wife has three sons.
- 3. The phrase "ICPC summons Kwara gov’s wife Olufolake and 8 others over corruption allegations" was used as placeholder text in the reference I removed. However, the only source I could find about this alleged case was a Facebook page: https://web.facebook.com/FreshInsight1/posts/exposed-icpc-summons-kwara-govs-wife-olufolake-8-others-over-corruption-allegati/874714402965382/?locale=hi_IN&_rdc=1&_rdr. There were no reports from credible sources like national newspapers or the ICPC website itself (https://icpc.gov.ng/category/press-release/), which raised doubts about the legitimacy of the claim.
- Given these points, I wondered if the inclusion of this information was a mistake or intentional misinformation. If the goal was simply to reference the statement "He is married to Olufolake Molawa Davies Abdulrazaq (born 2 August 1967)," a more reliable source, such as a Nigerian newspaper celebrating her birthday, would be appropriate. For instance, this article from ThisDay could serve that purpose: https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/08/11/kwara-state-first-lady-olufolake-abdulrazak-celebrates-at-52/.
- I hope this clarifies my edits. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
- Best regards,
- Adebola. Adebxla (talk) 19:17, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
