Wikipedia:Notability

[edit]

Hi there. 80,000 publications appear each year in chemistry journals, and Wikipedia is not the proper place to report on each of them. See Wikipedia:Notability. If you are truly interested in helping Wikipedia vs just PR, we would welcome some general comments on the role of Ag-S nanoparticles, for example in photography. A number of books discuss this area. If you have questions about policy, please leave a note here and I would be glad to discuss. We are very interested in editors who can discuss general aspects of science and technology, as expected for a broad encyclopedia. But if you are only interested in publicizing a nice but specialized paper from CMU note, Wikipedia is not the right forum. A number of blogs exist though that would welcome it.
