AFRICAN EXPRESS AIRWAYS

[edit]

Dear Middayexpress, I trust you are well, I am the Director Flight Operations of African Express Airways, I can see that you have been quite active in our Airline Portal, Yesterday I edited part of the information of the page since it was false and or outdated. African Express Airwyas in a fully Kenyan registered and owned company not Somali, the person shown in the picture I removed does not work for African Express directly or indirectly, regarding the destinations list I have amplified them as per our recently approved summer schedule 2015, the fleet has been changed due to the acquisition of two CRJ-200 and the removal of one 727 aircraft. I kindly encourage you to maintain the details as transparent and truthful as they are for the benefit of all the users. Kindly understand that we need to keep a reputation among service providers and Authorities in many countries.

If you need any information regarding African Express Airways I will be more than happy to assist you. (do@africanexpress.co.ke)

Thanks in advance for your cooperation,

Sincerely,

Afex.do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afex.do (talkcontribs) 21:24, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

AFRICAN EXPRESS AIRWAYS INFORMATION

[edit]

Hello again. The accurate information is basically the one I edited on the 14th of May at 2130 and are all highlighted.

Kenyan (owned & registered) not Somali. company and type of operation which it includes short and medium haul. Removal of the Picture of the unknown person who claims to be a General Manager. List of destinations as per our current routes and designation. update of fleet. removal of one 727 and addition of two CRJ-200. The AMO Aeronautical Maintenance Organization has the belongs to the airline under the same name and not and Associate Jet maintenance company.

those at the moment.

Rgds. [[[User:Afex.do|Afex.do]] (talk) 16:48, 18 May 2015 (UTC)][reply]

Where does the link indicate the company is not Somali owned? You realize many Somalis are citizens of Kenya and own many businesses there, right? Also, where in that link does it indicate that the gentleman is not a General Manager of the airline's bureau in Mogadishu (not Nairobi)? Thanks, Middayexpress (talk) 17:23, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Note that while African Express Airways at the moment has its hub abroad like Daallo Airlines and Jubba Airways, they are all Somali owned and operated [1]. Middayexpress (talk) 17:36, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

AFRICAN EXPRESS INFORMATION

[edit]

The requirement of editing the information comes directly from My Managing Director who has instructed me to handle the case. I have provided the information. I would like to see as well which type of evidence does the person shown in the article has in order to demonstrate his position within the Company. As per the ownership, The Company owner is a Kenyan citizen, not Somali, By the way there is nothing wrong about being Somali, our main market is oriented towards Somalia and their people, but here we are talking about transparency and truthful facts. I guess the solution would be for the Managing Director to write directly to you. This type of information is very sensitive for several service providers such as insurance, international Aviation Authorities among others. Kindly inform about the destination list and the Maintenance Organization. Thanks

The airline owner is an ethnic Somali with a foreign passport, just like the Somali owners of Daallo Airlines, Jubba Airways and many other Somali companies. That said, to authenticate your identity or that of your manager, please follow the instructions in my first post above. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 17:53, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just saw it, thanks. It turns out that the Musa Bulhan fellow, owner of Pioneer Airlines of which African Express Airways was originally a subsidiary, is not even Somali (though he apparently likes to claim that he is; no idea what he looks like). He is a Maasai and his birth name is Shadrack ole Sainapu. It seems that he adopted the other name when he converted from Christianity to Islam [2]. At any rate, I'll adjust this accordingly. What exactly was this video post to show? AcidSnow (talk) 18:36, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure; who operated it, I guess. It's a Maasai fellow apparently. Middayexpress (talk) 18:42, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Middayexpress, these are two different companies. See here: [4]. The one owned by the Massai individual has changed it's name/ceased to operate. This one, however, was founded in 1999 and is owned by ethnic Somalis. Hence why the companies director is an ethnic Somali. AcidSnow (talk) 19:38, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, interesting AcidSnow. Note therein how the earlier "African Express Airways" company was later renamed to "Equator Airlines". Middayexpress (talk) 20:51, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, kindly explain how I can avoid the page from being edited, since after you made the changes Acidsnow reverted them twice. How do I go to a higher level to avoid recurring changes or a cats and dogs fight. Rgds. [[[User:Afex.do|Afex.do]] (talk) 20:34, 18 May 2015 (UTC)][reply]

Please see above. He notes there that there are two separate African Express Airways. Middayexpress (talk) 20:51, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
