I just checked January 9 and i have no clue why you were unable to edit. maybe you clicked the 'preview' button instead of the 'save' button and your edit didn't show? at any rate, you should try again. good luck

I have no clue either... I see you changed it (thanks) but I'm brand new here and confused exactly what I did wrong. I tried editing another page and there seems to be something wrong with this one.

I found that each subsection (Events, Births, Deaths) has its own Edit button, and I assumed the entire page (including text above the "Events") can be edited by clicking the Edit tab at the top right (between Read and View History) but when I do that on January 9, I get the following (tried to take a screen grab, but I can't upload in Talk?)

See, nowhere (on my screen) is that "ninth day of the year" sentence...
