Image:DSC01006.JPG is named very poorly. Dont be afraid of using long, descriptive names. For example see some the of names i've done: http://www.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Special:Contributions&target=Hfastedge
Also, dont be afraid of providing HUGE images. Quality of images is quite valued. You should use a program to reconvert the huge images to a small version (until this is done on wikipedia.
As i said, the best practice is to upload a small and large. on my contributions page, see the 2 yellowstone images, and see how i
implemented it on the yellowstone page right after. this is the best practice at the moment.
1 Meg seems about right coming from a digital camera. for the large image, you should find the right balance
between compression (which leaves artifacts) and clarity of the image. you should just compress the heck and reduce
the resolution for the small one.
