Terry Borman
[edit]The article Terry Borman has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Merope 17:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- You didn't explain that in the article. All I saw was a statement about how he's a violin-maker from Fayetteville (which, incidentally, I'm travelling to next week) and there were several links to his blog. It didn't assert his notability, and it seemed to be advertising his website. Feel free to create the article in your namespace (e.g., at User:Aintmo/Terry Borman and work on it there, being sure to add citations from reliable sources. Once you've improved it a bit, an administrator can move it for you into the mainspace. If you have any questions, please feel free to put {{helpme}} on your talk page (this page) along with your question, and an experienced editor will be by shortly. -- Merope 17:47, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have restored your work and put it in your userspace to work on it. Please remember to adhere to our policies -- notability of persons must be clearly asserted in order to remain on our site. -- Merope 17:56, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. [1] (Requestion 20:57, 20 June 2007 (UTC))

I am working on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Aintmo/Terry_Borman and I think it is ready to be moved to the main area but would like an experienced editor to take a look and offer suggestions. Also need to know how to get it moved to main area once it is finalized.
- You should find references other than his website; to move the page use the move page feature. See the tab at the top of the screen. GDonato (talk) 18:26, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
