Re Luther Strange

[edit]

Hello, and thanks for the message you've posted to my talk page. To be completely honest with you, I know absolutely nothing about the topic "Luther Strange"... that was simply just a random article I stumbled upon while fixing typos. And (as you've pointed out), I also spotted the broken infobox while exiting, and attempted to fix (and/or restore) that as well. It was difficult to determine whether the article had been deliberately vandalised or tampered with, so I went with the cosmetic fix rather than a revert, and hoped that a regular editor of the article would make further adjustments if necessary. Your last edit appears to have reverted back to the September 1 version without a hitch, so I assume everything is finally back in order. As you've requested, I will add the article to my watchlist and keep an eye on it for any obvious abuse. Patrolling general changes of content however, is best left to someone like yourself, who is actually familiar with the topic. Have yourself a great day, happy editing, and once again, welcome to Wikipedia! :) -- WikHead (talk) 07:28, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Luther Strange Proposal for Deletion

[edit]

The article [[Luther Strange‎]] has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on [[Talk:Luther Strange‎|the article's talk page]].

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I don't know why anyone would suggest that this page be set for deletion. Luther Strange as a losing politician in Alabama hold significant media accolades for his clossial failure in the last election cycle where he was revealed to be a wealthy politician. His abnormal height made him somewhat famous before being upended in the election. He is again on the ticket running as a republican against the incumbent republican attorney general. The state news archive al.com shows some 100 stories with his name in the last few months. For the state of Alabama this would be considered significant and I therefore object to any removal.69.254.216.215 (talk) 04:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Luther Strange, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Luther Strange. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Phenry09 (talk) 02:44, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
