Re: Hi Gary[edit]

Hi, I can imagine that it came as quite a surprise to see the list was changed drastically from before. You might have remembered that I tried to get the list to FLC before, but it failed. So, I gave the list a revamp by going through this list of acquisitions made by the company and using that as the reference for each item in the list, for consistency and completeness. I then submitted the list; it passed FLC today.

I see that the acquisitions you added were deals that were made only recently, so I guess that the acquisitions list I used was not kept up-to-date. I suppose it gets updated once every fiscal quarter. So, I've got no problem with them being re-added; it was pretty much just an accidental oversight on my part. If it had been brought up to me, I would have immediately added them, but I see you've already gone ahead and done that. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 01:18, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
