Editing in Wikipedia

[edit]

Please note, Wikipedia pages do not have defined authors - anyone can edit it. If you would like something to be altered, you could suggest it on a talk page, or you could make the change your-self. The information in the welcome (above) will give you some guidance on policies and how to edit. A good way to learn to use Wikipedia is to practice by removing any vandalism you see. Enjoy editing! Thank you very much for your welcome, and for your suggested readings. I am (as you correctly have noticed) new to WikipediA and to editing i.e. creating Wikis, so I will make sure to follow your recommendations.

At this point I have already edited an article not originally written by me. I did so after having noted on some "misleading" - but otherwise correct - details. I then waited about a month to see if the author would take notion of my suggestions or perhaps respond to me, but this didn't happen wherefore I assumed there was a problem with finding time to do so. Because of the nature of the article, and the knowledge that it generates a very heavy trafic of hits/visitors, and because I am very committed to our presenting correct information, I did take it on me to add a sentence noting which out of a number of listed descriptions did not pertain to the topic they supposedly were associated.

I have kept a civil tone through out this and do not find any reasons to not do so. It is my hope that the author may find my editing to be helpful and a supportive action from a fellow WikipediA contributor.

I do have a few articles in mind that I have long been wanting to create, but first I am going to do a thorough study of the various features involved in the procedure. Your suggestions are most helpful in this respect.

Again: Thank you!...

Sincerely, AmaDraque (talk) 11:37, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: I will make sure to do my best and deal with vandalism where- and when-ever I see it, as soon as I get more confident with my own abilities to use the Wiki features! AmaDraque (talk) 11:43, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
