Message from Dafing
[edit]Hi Anabanana, I wont do it again, but two days ago I was in the process of updating an article I had started, another user was all on me! He pushed for it to be speedily deleted, as it was unfinshed. I explained it would take me another day, and he apologised. So, I thought it was best to explain on this article. Ok, as I said, I wont do it again.
However, I see on your user page "this is unfinished....still in progress" etc, heh! Makes you a bit of a hypocrite!!!!!! LOL, Take this comment in good nature. I see you have a list of countries you want to visit, add New Zealand, its great here! I really want to visit California. --Dafing 04:20, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi Anabanana, welcome, and I hope everything works out great for you here! Regarding your speedy delete on Sharpstown Middle School, I don't think that's a speedy delete. Usually, speedy delete is used for total nonsense or for vanity pages. The Sharpstown school articles is a bad article, but (1) it does contain sensible information such as the date of founding etc. and (2) there is and has been a whole long debate about whether schools should get their own articles, some say yes, some say no, I don't know if there is a policy. Anyway, maybe the article should be deleted, but it should go through the standard AfD (Articles for Deletion) process so that other people can review it. The AfD process is here: WP:AFD. In the meantime I removed your speedy tag. By all means you nominate the article for AfD if you want to. Cheers! Herostratus 09:13, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
More speedy delete woes.
[edit]Hi, just letting you know, Dr._Sam_Higginbottom was not actually patent nonsense - in fact, it's a caught copyvio. Thanks for tagging it though, and Welcome to Wikipedia (no offence intended if you're not actually new - I'm judging by the amount on your talk page that you are). Werdna648T/C\@ 06:13, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Similarly, it was ridiculous to tag UserAbcraghead/Trains for deletion. Show some consideration for other users - you should have moved it. -- RHaworth 15:32, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Robert Riddell
[edit]Hi; sorry I was a bit lazy in uploading verbatim text from a website to produce this article. I was going to rewrite it. Can you take down what I wrote and let me start afresh from the temp file? Thanks. Guinnog 01:32, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I wanted you to delete the main Robert Riddell page, with its copyvio notice, which I do not contest, so I can replace it with the stub I was working on in the temp file.Guinnog 01:41, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Can I have a reply please? Your user page is looking much better btw Guinnog 19:35, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Turnitin
[edit]Hi, I am new to Wikipedia editing but wanted to adjust the Turnitin article so as to be less slanted and more indicative of teacher perspectives in using the service. There are certainly student concerns with Turnitin but there are also teacher concerns about plagiarism and I wanted the edit to reflect that. Please let me know what you think.

- Thanks for the message. I've made a few edits, and think it's accurate and backed up by the recent news articles I have added to the external links. Cutter20 19:03, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Heh, thanks for the fixes. I must be half sleeping now. Pavel Vozenilek 23:53, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
New pages
[edit]Thanks, just doing my bit to clog up Wikipedia with useless information :P --Paul 07:18, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
Re:Thanks
[edit]Well that's nice of you, I appreciate that. I'm far from California though, I'm in England. Eixo 07:35, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, I've lived there. Do you know it? Eixo 07:39, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Regarding Alexandra Silk
[edit]I just noticed this article on Alexandra Silk which you tagged with {{db-bio}}. I am currently in the process of fixing the page from the initial edit made by the newbie, User:Gnascher, and (after which) there should be no need for a speedy delete. Just letting you know. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 03:02, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
merges
[edit]Thanks for noticing that Pingxiang, Guangxi was redundant with Pingxiang. However, there's no reason for duplicate articles to be deleted; they can be merged and redirected, which is what I did. How to do this is explained at Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages. You can also put {{merge|PAGENAME}} one the top of the article. Thanks. Chick Bowen 04:39, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Traditions about Mahdi
[edit]The other day you visted this page, newly created 'Traditions about Mahdi'. The page is being worked upon. It is linked from the another article 'Mahdi'. Thanks for suggestions.
I noticed that you nominated this twice. The author continues to remove your nomination, and is basically whining and crying on the article's talk page.
Just thought you might want to know.

Hey
[edit]Your name caught my attention, cause I saw you put a tag on a page I started. Your name looks alot like the SN of one of my friends, that and I'm from the bay area. But i would guess since you edit a page about a school in hillsborough, you're not from the same area as me.. Fresheneesz 02:40, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, took long enough to notice. My name is Billy. I went to MA. What about you? Fresheneesz 22:20, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

HRESULT context
[edit]Hello,
Back in February 2006 you added the context template to the HRESULT article. I have tried to add more context in the intro. Do you think it needs more or would it be okay to remove the flag? --Culix (talk) 18:49, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Grab some glory, and a barnstar
[edit]Hi, I'd like to invite you to participate in the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. In May, about 30 editors helped remove the {{copyedit}} tag from 1175 articles. The backlog is still over 7500 articles, and extends back to the beginning of 2008! We really need your help to reduce it. Copyediting just a couple articles can qualify you for a barnstar. Serious copyeditors can win prestigious and exclusive rewards. See the event page for more information. And thanks for your consideration. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 14:36, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
