- Thanks for responding to my comment. I can assure you one thing, I did NOT put that "child slapping" statement in the article. Why would Anderson slap her child anyway, weren't her children fully grown by that time??? And the other thing that was once in the article about her attending the Betty Ford Clinic, was that true or not (I didn't put that there either, I'm just curious)? So, maybe that sentence is not needed about Anderson being a "One-hit wonder", so I won't continue to add it. I can say that if view the article, List of 1970s one-hit wonders in the United States, you will find Lynn Anderson and "Rose Garden" there. I can admit that my spelling and grammar is off most of the time, so I will fully intend to work on fixing that. I can also say you are probably right on how successful Lynn Anderson was for the early half of the 1970s, she continually appeared in the Country Top 10 up until 1974. As for Dottie West, people probably remember her more for her work she had done through the late 60s, and then again with Kenny Rogers in the late 70s, and then again on her own in the early 80s, where she accumulated her first No. 1 as a solo act. Generally, what I'm simply saying is that, Lynn Anderson was DEFINITLEY more successful than West by a long shot during the much of the 70s, most of West's singles didn't even chart the Top 40 through that time (except for "Country Sunshine" and a few others). However, as for her legacies they left behind after both their careers ultimately faded from view, I would probably say that Dottie was more influential than Lynn. Who knows, maybe that will change as time goes by, you never know. To conclude, thanks for seeing the situation from my point of view, and I'm glad we sorted this out, unlike other Wikipedians here.
As I said earlier, that e-mail has been sent to your e-mail address, and when you get it, I have so many more questions to ask you, that I think you will have answers for, mainly about what's going on with Lynn Anderson now. I'm very interested in her biography and career, and will be continued to fascinated by it, and I will definitley work together with you to make her article better, I'm going to need a lot of help anyway on making articles for her albums on her discography page, something I have been wanting to do. You can help me make these articles if you want to, because it would be less stressful for me. Thank you very much, and I hope we continue to be in contact together. Lynn Anderson very important message
[edit]Please do not edit Lynn Anderson's article without adding a reference anymore or it will be deleted immediatley! The way you wrote things in her article gave Anderson praise, for example, this un-encyclopedia-like statement you said; "During the 1970s, when Hollywood needed a country act for variety shows, benefits, talk shows and even television dramas, Anderson was usually the choice." and the other: "She served as an ambassador for country music, broadening its appeal and taking it to new levels." I was too afraid to tell you back in September, but here I am now. This type of writing is and was never ever allowed on this site. This is not a fansite and you do not opinionate articles soo much what you're practically saying here:
Lynn Anderson is the best and greatest singer who ever walked the planet.
which is obviously not true and completley wrong. I had to talk to to trusted user, user:TenPoundHammer to properly revert it back to the way I redid the biography back in March, with clear references. However you revert, and if you revert it again, I will have to talk to TenPoundHammer about you again and this time I we will have to take more serious precautions, which we really don't want to do. Please remember this is an encyclopedia, not a fansite, and an encyclopedia can not be so opinionated and have only 3 references. Please talk to to user TenPoundHammer if you have further questions. If you can't deal with this, then you should not write for this website. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me too. Dottiewest1fan (talk) 00:49, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
