Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. Chimpanzee - User | Talk | Contribs 11:40, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I knew that name was familiar from somewhere! I'll respond to your message here if you don't mind. Like to keep all my Wikipedia stuff together really...

Don't worry about it. Sorry if you took the message above as me having a go. It was supposed to be just a friendly pointer that the Preview button exists - which seems to have worked! :)

I think that date probably is right, it's just that everything on Wikipedia is supposed to be verifiable so it's normally better to wait until there's solid confirmation on something before putting it in. I wish Sony would just hurry up and give us a date!

Please don't think you have to ask more experienced editors before you make changes. It's ok to ask for help if you need it - editing on Wikipedia can be a bit daunting until you get used to it - but one of Wikipedia's best policies is that users should "be bold". If someone objects or if you make a mistake they'll just undo or correct it (normally quite quickly) so there's no harm done. If you plan on editing more often, the only way you'll learn the ropes is by doing it!

Hi

[edit]

I was going to message on here, but I did not know how to, and I recognised your name on the PS Forums.

I did not take it as you having a go at me, so don't worry :) When I noticed something was wrong, I tried to fix it, and it made it worse, so I reverted back to someone else's edit before I made things worse.

I usually edit the PlayStation Home Page, as Home is everything to me, but I also love LBP and play on it every week, so I sometimes "Hop boats" and see what I could do to make it better and, sometimes, my editing always ends up ruining the page, which is why I usually correct spelling and grammar between the two.

I'm actually glad you edited the page back, as I was worrying that I would get banned off Wikipedia for some form of "Vandalism".

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
