Welcome and edit summaries

Let me welcome you to Wikipedia and thank you for your edit to the article on the color maroon. As the deleted reference makes clear, the pronunciation was just an artifact of Perth and not a truly Australian pronunciation. I would, however, like to point out to you the edit summary box, which is described at Help:Edit summary. Other editors, such as myself, find it useful when reviewing edits if there is a statement of the intent of the edit, or at least a summary of what was done. In this case, you removed a sentence that was inadequately supported by the referenced source. Thanks and again welcome. You might want to take a look at the following, if you haven't already:
