Not all of this page is WP:OR. I would appreciate help in cleaning it up
[edit]- the quote from the trailer is sourced and therefore not WP:OR.
- The sentence "Nobody wants to listen to the scientists who are trying to warn us about the end of the world and even those who hear what they say do not believe them." is a fair summary of a main theme of the movie and could be supported by several secondary sources if someone wants to challenge it.
- The statement "there is a 100% probability that a newly discovered comet will hit Earth in six months" should be recognized as a fraud (or a joke) by anyone familiar with the field. It is supported both by the many examples in the Torino scale link I provided and by the common sense argument that even spacecraft can not achieve such accuracy. If you think I am wrong (and I might be) please help me understand why.
I believe that my phrasing needs significant improvement before it sounds encyclopedic instead of argumentative and would appreciate suggestions.
This satirical movie targets much more the president and the talk show media. It also targets so called "scientists" and the mainstream media that are reporting about the film itself without mentioning that these scientists (as likeable as they are) are not only helpless but incompetent as well. Is there any way for Wikipedia to explain that without becoming WP:OR? Annette Maon (talk) 22:46, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
