I've undone your recent edit to Madagascar Plate. You changed the lead to read: The term Madagascar Plate is actually incorrect because there is no quantifiable evidence that it moves independently from the surrounding tectonic plates. While this may be true, you would need a WP:reliable source essentially stating that to avoid WP:no original research. Whether the plate is to be referred to as an active plate, an inactive or historical plate, or simply not a plate would depend on what the published sources say. If there is a disagreement among published studies - then that disagreement should be summarized with references. Vsmith (talk) 21:14, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
