Speedy deletion nomination of Look! Drawing the Line in Art
[edit]A tag has been placed on Look! Drawing the Line in Art requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Abce2 (talk) 22:49, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Look! Drawing the Line in Art
[edit]A bit of (hopefully) helpful advice.
I can't find evidence that the book Look! Drawing the Line in Art meets Wikipedia's requirements for notability for books. However, since the author was on the Birthday Honours 2005 list, she may well be notable. Your best bet might be to start with an article about her, mentioning the book (and any others she has written) in that article. Wikipedia:Your first article has some good tips on what you need for an article that won't get deleted. I'd also suggest starting it as a draft in your userspace, such as at User:Anu bhujel/Gillian Wolfe. That way you'll have more (but not unlimited) time to work on it. When you think it's ready, get some feedback by posting a request at WP:FEED. HTH! --Fabrictramp | talk to me 23:14, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
