Acoustic Phonetics- Martin Joos

[edit]

Acoustic Phonetics was written in times of exploration of phonetics. That is exactly what the book is about. Exploration of the unknown in phonetics, more specifically the acoustic aspect of phonetics. Martin Joos wrote the book to help the world come to a unified phonetic theory and to introduce acoustic information to phonetics. Saphireh97 (talk) 06:05, 6 March 2018 (UTC) This is great information to educate people about different phonetic theories. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.107.39.143 (talk) 21:35, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review - Martin Joos

[edit]

The introduction paragraph is pretty much his Biography.
I think replacing "Biography" with a new section like Early Life/Career or Researches he's conducted leading up to his book "The Five Clocks" (assuming the information is available and can be found).
In the section "Acoustic Phonetics", the sentence: "That is exactly what this book is about." should be taken out. It is redundant :>
