Sexophobia

[edit]

Hi. I'm the user who added the tags to Sexophobia. I see that you've been making some changes to the page, but the thing you need to concentrate on first, before worrying about the phrasing, is finding reliable sources to verify the information there and demonstrate that this is a notable topic. No matter what you write, if there aren't eventually reliable sources, the article will end up being deleted. If you have questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page or the article's talk page, and I'll be glad to assist you. Qwyrxian (talk) 11:01, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sexophobia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't find any reliable sources using this term in this way; the word appears to more commonly be used to refer to "fear of sex" or sexual displays, not a fear of the opposite sex. At best, this falls under WP:Dicdef, and should be deleted or trans-wikid to wiktionary.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:43, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
