Your edits to Marilyn Kirsch

[edit]

Hello! Please do not remove citation needed tags as you did at Marilyn Kirsch. You removed the tags and did not add any references. Claims made on Wikipedia need to be sourced. As well as this, please do not add inline links as you did here. Inline links to outside sites are generally not allowed per WP:MOS.

Finally, it seems like you have a lot of unpublished information about Marilyn Kirsch, are you connected in some way to her? ThatMontrealIP (talk) 00:02, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have again added inline links to the above article there are not allowed per WP:MOS. I have reverted your addition, again. Also, Wikipedia is a collaborative effort where editors communicate in order to achieve the best result. Since you have time to edit the article, would you mind replying to the above question? Thank you.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 15:13, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Marilyn Kirsch; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Please stop adding inline links, as they are not allowed. Also please do not engage in edit warring, as you can be blocked for doing so. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 15:07, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to do my best

[edit]

Engaging in an edit war is the last thing I desire. What I am trying to do is to REMOVE all claims for which it was indicated that a citation is needed and, consequently, remove the citation needed tags in those places. Is there anything wrong with that? I am going to edit my page according to this plan and I hope that this will be considered acceptable. 15:55, 27 December 2018 (UTC)Artist183 (talk) Artist183 (talk) 15:55, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're not going about this in the right way. We have policies for references, see WP:RS. Your edit keeps adding an inline URL, and we do not sallow those. When you say "my page" do you mean you're the article subject? Nobody owns any pages on Wikipedia, they are editable by all users. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 16:34, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on this. I will "publish" the changes I have made so far so that I do not loose them, but I hope to revise that within the next few hours. So hang in there! Artist183 (talk) 18:02, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I encourage you again to read WP:OWN and WP:3RR, and to declare any connection to Marilyn Kirsch.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 00:20, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
