Request reason:

Hello. I have actually been blocked on the English Wikipedia for over two years now. I tried two times to contact the administrator who blocked me. He didn't answer. I know my actions really looked like spam since I wrote on different topics. From castles to Hong Kong inventors. The fact is that at that time I did not yet understand the specifics of the English Wikipedia and in many respects wrote what was interesting to me in the professional and thematic environment of the journalist of the Kiev magazine. For example, did one Ukrainian singer qualify for Eurovision? I wrote an article about her. Hong Kong protests? I became interested in people from there. BBC released material on military LGBT orientation? I decided to try writing about them. Have a question about a hacker attack on American institutions? I came to the conclusion that it would be nice to write an article about those who are engaged in cyber defense. Moreover, in the work of the magazine "Focus" (Kiev), I discussed these topics with the editor. This is more of a conflict of interest, but not an indefinite lock. (Themes are not for Wikipedia, but for the magazine. On Wikipedia, it's easier for me to understand the topic by writing it, sources and information are collected.)

I understand that my actions are strange and definitely look like spam. I will no longer write articles on the English Wikipedia (or I will ask for advice on topics before writing from more experienced members). Even if I write, I will do it more carefully and approaching with real interests. For example and it, history or literature, cartography). My articles, for example, this one has the status of favorites in the Ukrainian Wikipedia. But given that I am a very active user of Ukrainian projects, the fact of blocking is unpleasant for me.

I would be grateful if you consider my question unlock with me. You can see that my contribution to the development of projects is significant. That I have never been blocked. I actively help wikiprojects develop not only as a volunteer, but also as a member of the Wikimedia Ukraine organization. For example, I run contests on Wikisource. Accept reason:

accept Given the time-span, generall positive contributions elsewhere, I'm certainly willing to let WP:ROPE apply. I think a more careful route before diving back into from-scratch article creation would be wise. I don't see any particular benefit in adding specific editing restrictions. • Don't remember being contacted (sorry, I get a lot of emails in my Wikipedia email.), but I'll say I'm neutral on this and let the reviewing admin decide without further need to contact me.TonyBallioni (talk) 13:10, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your comment. Yes, indeed I did write by email.--Arxivist (talk) 20:22, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
