Bani Walid

[edit]

The article ends on September 30 because there was absolutely no fighting after that. My source that a new phase has started is that today NTC forces advanced for the first time toward Bani Walid in the last three weeks and captured two villages and an airport on its outskirts. Its a clear example like the fourth battle of Brega, where we had a temporary pro-gaddafi victory after they repelled attacks on the town, than, after a period of several weeks of pause, the rebels came back and attacked again, that time ending with a victory for them. EkoGraf (talk) 21:27, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just added into the Bani Walid article the source about the new rebel advance on the town today. But, I have to warn you, please refrain from reintroducing the article on Ghat, because the sources that the creator put in the article don't talk about any battle let alone a skirmish at all. The whole article is misrepresentation of the sources. Not one of the sources provided talk about a battle for the town, you could say the existance of the claimed event on which the article is based is unsourced, which is unecaptable on Wikipedia. The user who created the article is known for creating articles on events that had never happened or were minor than what he described in them. If you got sources that confirm there was a battle than please add them, otherwise there are no sources that confirm a battle or even a skirmish occured at Ghat. If you don't belive me, read the sources yourself. EkoGraf (talk) 21:36, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, concencuss on removal of unsourced information on Wikipedia is not required and it is encouraged that unsourced material be removed immediately. EkoGraf (talk) 21:37, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, both villages are miles south of the city, which would mean the rebels stories of the town being surrounded were not true since the loyalists had an open road to the southern desert, they only now closed it. EkoGraf (talk) 23:17, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
