User talk:Axon/Spreading the POV
I think I was involved in the "spread" but not the way you say.
First of all, nearly everyone at Wikipedia who uses the slang term POV edits is themselves involved in injecting bias into articles here. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:POV <== note there is no "N".
People who use "POV" as a synonym for bias are usually part of the problem, not the solution. A point of view (POV) is not something bad. It is something to be described.
The global warming article was distorted by those who wished to promote the POV of advocates of the global warming theory. I eventually gave up, as I had better things to do with my time than try to shovel back the tide.
I cannot single-handedly write an unbiased, balanced article about a poorly-understood theory which is being used to bolster a controversial policy cherished by leftists / socialists and completely supported by the Anglo-American media.
If you are interested in describing the various POV about global warming (or evolution & creation), please let me know. We can work together and make encyclopedia articles which clearly and fairly describe all major points of view on these controversial subjects. Uncle Ed 17:36, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
