Warning to Ayager to stop disruptive editing

I write to ask you to stop making edits which are disruptive to, and against the interests of, Wikipedia. My comments here are about your edits, not about you as a person/editor.

You obviously are very unhappy about the rise in popularity of Generation Jones. You tried very hard to convince other editors to agree with your view in your attempt to delete the GenJones article. The other editors overwhelmingly rejected your view. Not only was there a clear consensus of disagreement with you, but editor after editor even made a point of emphasizing how wrong you are in your views.

Despite this clear consensus against you, you have continued, after your deletion attempt failed, to nonetheless make edits which reflect the views which were so strongly rejected by other editors.

Wikipedia depends on the good faith efforts of editors to work in a collaborative way. Your edits are the opposite of this approach. You continue to ignore the fact that your views about GenJones have been emphatically rejected.

For example, you tried very hard to make the case that the GenJones concept is primarily the view of one person—Jonathan Pontell. Despite the fact that other editors overwhelmingly disagreed with that view, you again are making edits today to try to create that false impression to Wikipedia readers.

Your behavior on Wikipedia has been so out of line that I believe your IP address should be blocked to prevent you from making further edits. I am not formally beginning that process at this point, nor am I threatening to. Today I am nicely asking you to voluntarily stop this behavior.

In case you are not clear on which behavior I am referring to, let me be specific. [Again, I am not being critical of you as a person, I am being critical of your edits (I emphasize this because personal attacks are prohibited on Wikipedia)]

The behavior I refer to is that not only have your edits been incorrect, but many of them have been blatantly dishonest. For example, your edits tried to pretend to editors that the GenJones references were primarily just the parroting of some imagined press release. These and other edits of yours reflect unequivocal dishonesty and bad faith. I believe if these edits of yours are reviewed by appropriate Wiki administrators, there is a high chance your editing rights would be blocked.

Again, I am, with these comments today, asking you nicely to voluntarily stop making these edits, and to respect the interests of Wikipedia, and its readers. Thank you for your consideration.TreadingWater (talk) 15:07, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
