Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created KPHO-TV, and I noticed that your username, "Azfamily3tvcbs5", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. • I think you should have a talk with my friend @Sammi Brie:.

Hi there. The message above is correct. Since your username is the name of an organization, it needs to be changed to meet our username policy. Please follow the guidelines there. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 00:38, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Will do, thank you Sammi for your professionalism. Azfamily3tvcbs5 (talk) 00:48, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I noticed that you made a comment on the page KPHO-TV that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 01:01, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you be more specific @Mvcg66b3r? Azfamily3tvcbs5 (talk) 01:03, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You called me out for being "unknown" and not having "proper knowledge." I've been on Wikipedia for years, and so has @Sammi Brie:. And as I see through your behavior, I don't think you even work for KPHO/KTVK. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 01:06, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome to email us at that address to confirm. I've also confirmed my email with wikipedia and submitted required verifications for logo use and changes. What are your qualifications in the Phoenix DMA? Or with KTVK/KPHO? As far as I can tell, those statements are correct. Azfamily3tvcbs5 (talk) 01:09, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I do not live in the Phoenix area, but Sammi does. Neither of us are even employed in TV. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 01:12, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can see Sammi understanding edits, but if you don't live here, in the DMA or work for the station, how can you say with such authority that you're the one stop knowledge of what happens in this market. Seems very odd and Authoritarianism. Azfamily3tvcbs5 (talk) 01:15, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's not authoritarianism, it's how Wikipedia works. Wikipedia is built on collaboration. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 01:17, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then why consistently fight minor edits made by someone who has verified what they do? And why doubt where they work? I'm not sure why you can't accept change. If it's collaboration, why does it all have to pass by just you? Can't others decide? Azfamily3tvcbs5 (talk) 01:20, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Logos

[edit]

Let's turn down the temperature here.

I'm fine with the logo update, frankly. An Arizona's Family logo really needs to be in these infoboxes. Do you have the versions of that with just the 3TV or CBS 5 logos as are sometimes used in on-air promos? I would prefer that to the one with both station logos for each individual infobox. I will assist in cleaning up the Commons tags and other items if you do.

(I'd also appreciate the Arizona's Family Sports and Entertainment Network logo if that is available, as it could go on KPHE-LD.)

Thanks for your patience. I'm committed to doing right by the topics I write about, so bear with me. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 02:25, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaymanaz40 Are you still around and able to do this? Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 17:08, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
