I changed the opening paragraph to reflect the fact that this is the Second Battle of Cynthiana (in contrast to the First Battle of Cynthiana, July 17, 1862), and that The Battle of Keller's Bridge (note spelling - not Kellar's) was one of three separate engagements, which the existing text illustrates. (Perhaps the title of the entry should be "Battles of Cynthiana" and also include the First Battle of Cynthiana, but this would complicate the sidebar info on commanders and statistics more than it now is.) I added why Morgan was defeated (low on ammunition, reckless, enemy forces larger), that Keller's Bridge was his last victory, and my book, Rattling Spurs and Broad-Brimmed Hats as a source and for further reading. I could not figure out how to insert the reference, so gave up, and just listed the page numbers alongside my book under "References". The NPS and ABPP Web sites spell Keller's Bridge incorrectly as Kellar's Bridge, which has been copied all over the Web. My book is currently out of print, but a revised edition is nearly finished and publishing is planned for 2012. Anyone interested in the Battles of Cynthiana may email me at pennwma@aol.com. See also, www.harrisoncountyky.us, which will soon have online a copy of the first edition of Rattling Spurs and Broad-Brimmed Hats.Battlegrovepress (talk) 04:19, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
