Second, I'm reposting this message here because I want to make sure that you get it. Can you provide resources to show what you know about The Israelites? The best that I found was a website from around 2000 stating that a third album was planned, but no indication of much activity after the millennium. Reply here, or at Talk:Christian ska. Thanks for the welcome, I actually only joined in order to comment on the Israelites stuff. I believe they have a myspace page, not sure of the address. Also, you may be able to look on the Jump Up Records website to find info on further releases. They put one out called Roots in 2000 (maybe 2001), and then rereleased Washaway with a few extra tracks in 2002/2003 I think. I'll look into it. Any resources that you could provide or point me to (by way of web sites (we don't accept myspace or blogs here, not my policy), newspaper articles, magazine reviews and full writeups would be helpful. The band keeps such a low profile that they're not even covered in the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music, although I have managed a small writeup on them, it's not yet enough to post here. Awesome! last I knew they were on Kingston Beat, which, correct me if I'm wrong, is/was their custom label. No, unfortunately it's not enough to simply have a conversation with someone, we tend to draw from published sources. However, I will likely be contacting Rich to see if he can provide any.
