Username concern

[edit]

Hi there, I need to mention that it appears your username might not be in line with Wikipedia's policies regarding usernames. Usernames need to identify an individual and not a role or a company. Also, based on your username and editing, you should see Wikipedia's rules regarding conflict of interest, see this link: WP:COI. Thanks... Zad68 19:55, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

August 2013

[edit]

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding continued controversial editting without discussion or reliable, secondary sources (see WP:MEDRS). If you choose to continue, as you did at Klinefelter syndrome, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. It looks like you are about to/already have broken the 3 revert rule. The admins may ban you for this. Suggest talk about the controversial changes on the talk page instead of edit warring please. Lesion (talk) 20:00, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested Edits

[edit]

Klinefelter Syndrome is not the same as XXY. When I edited the page, I included pubmed resources on the points. I am not sure why there is a problem with the edits. There is no COI.

OK, but you will probably have to rename your account due to Wikipedia's policies regarding usernames. As for the content question, have you read this? What we do in Wikipedia articles is summarize reliable sources. Is the source not good? It is not being represented accurately in the article? Zad68 20:13, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am happy to edit my name but my profile does not show how. Do I need to create a new sign in to do that? And the 3x thing was a newbie error from not being sure how to save my edits and thinking I did not save them correctly when I saw no changes.

Yes, I have read that NIH article and am in communication with them updating it with more accurate information. NIH themselves have admitted to 40+ 47,XXY females in the literature (some of which I do reference in my edits.) Correct, the information in the article that you are summarizing is out of date. We must go by the best available information published by reliable sources; by definition, we are unlikely to have content at the cutting edge of new thinking and discoveries. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:22, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As Orange Mike stated, we go with what the best-quality published reliable sources say. If you do indeed get an updated review article published in a high-quality journal we can use it. You should start by reading WP:MEDRS to understand what we're looking for in sourcing medical articles. Zad68 20:27, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK thanks I will get on getting you a copy of a more up to date article. Where do I post it? I have already created a new account with a new user name (CAWilson52)BeyondXXY,Inc (talk) 20:30, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Let's stop using this account and its Talk page and pick up the conversation over at User talk:CAWilson52... Zad68 20:33, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked until renamed, or create a new account

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy. It also appears that your account is intended to be used for the purpose of telling the world about an organization or cause that you consider worthwhile. Unfortunately, many good causes are not sufficiently notable for their own Wikipedia article, and all users are discouraged from editing in any area where they have an inherent conflict of interest. You may wish to consider one of these alternative outlets.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
