Dear Sir,

Every article in the Wikipedia that I have seen gives August, 1969 as the date that the Woodstock Music Festival was held. I remember quite well that I was in St. Louis for the summer of 1969 where I witnessed the first moon landing on TV. The previous summer, 1968, I spent in New York City attending a film making class at the New York Institute of Photography and remember being very interested in the filming techniques that were used at the Woodstock Festival that hot August weekend. The climate was so humid that cameras sometimes malfunctioned. In some ways, I wish I had been there, but the squalor was a little depressing. I don't believe anything of note happened at Woodstock in 1969.

The administrators' noticeboard is not for questions like this. You may ask at the reference desk or look up the Woodstock Festival article. Shalom (HelloPeace) 18:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
