It is felt that the article you created at John Giuliano is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable. I have moved it to User:Bigbazoonga, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.

Note, however, that the purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Wikipedia or its editing is likely to be removed.

Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information. -- Fan-1967 04:13, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

I'd like to apologize for tagging your user page for deletion. When I started to edit it, it was in the main namespace. (My bad.) --N Shar 04:14, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on John Giuliano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why John Giuliano is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:John Giuliano, explaining how John Giuliano is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Sorry, but claiming to be the messiah isn't notable. It's only notable if tens of thousands of other people claim you are. Fan-1967 04:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, if you read the Notability guidelines, you need multiple sources covering you. Many people believe the messiah is returning, and that's widely reported. That makes the messiah notable, which is why he has an article. Until they start believing you're him, and that's widely reported, you don't rate the way he does, whoever he (or you) may be. Not that I deny Trey Anestasio sacrifices goats or cooks food in his kitchen, its entirely unnecessary.Mikelj 06:22, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
