Movaya Wireless

[edit]

re: Movaya Wireless article This article has been worked on a lot today, and discussed with three other editors. I ([user:jog1973]) have been working on this article for 3 hours tonight, please refrain from adding to delete list, and look at the TALK for this article. Two other WIKI editors have been working WITH me to get this article in shape. They BOTH originally deleted this, and now stand by it. Please contact them.

Catherine Parr

[edit]

please stop! Common usage of the name is spelled with a C. As in the times supplement just last week. Agathoclea 11:07, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yet all the links from that page show her name with a "K"
I'm easy - just trying to be consistant.--Bilbo B 11:39, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fascinating. Yet the Britannica uses C. I can only think that her name was spelled with a K at the time (or rather is a victim of the C-K sound shift since then) but it seems that today she gets referred to as Catherine. If anything her article is the place to sort that out, not at incoming links. Maybe following procedure at WP:RM#Steps_for_requesting_a_.28possibly.29_controversial_page_move will get a few people to provide some input. Agathoclea 12:32, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is in Portugese, and it appears to exist at the Portugese wiki. So it's not nonsense if you speak the language. I've retagged it as db-foreign. Denni talk 21:05, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just wanted to draw your attention to my comments at the above page and my intention to revert the renaming --RCEberwein | Talk 04:06, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for mediation

[edit]

Hi, Todd Gallagher made a request for informal mediation here about the article Senior Military College. I don't see that you've been notified of this, or are willing to participate, but on behalf of the Mediation cabal, I am offering to mediate. Some points for your consideration: your participation is entirely voluntary, and can change at any time. Also, I have no power whatever to make or enforce decisions, I can only make suggestions. Please let me know here or on my talk page if you'd like me to mediate. IronDuke 20:39, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
