River Driver's Son[edit]
I am 90 and my Father Billy Dorrity was a famous River Log Driver and dam builder--The Ballad, "Billy Dorrity and the Badger Drive" is on the web I am Billy Dorrity Jr. While growing up withy Father, I was told many stories about "River Driving" and about the many piers, Coffer Dams, and dams Father supervised. I am a published author and and now in the process of completing a manuscript re early life in Badger Brook NFLD. where I remained until I was six years old. I am willing to provide what information you deem necessary or interesting. I know a lot about the 1905-1907 disaster in the construction of the Dam at GrandFalls. I also have a lot of information re the early days of Badger Brook now known as Badger. Father was 60 when I was born in 1926.
