The article Don't Cry Sister (J.J. Cale song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NMUSIC

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Eeekster (talk) 12:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Creating duplicate articles

[edit]

I've noticed you've created several articles with the same material under different spellings of the title, or with and without capitalization. That's not necessary; the correct way is to make the page with a variant spelling a redirect to one, single, main article. See Wikipedia:Redirect for information on how to do this. Also, all of your song articles have been nominated for deletion one way or another—sorry about that, but deletion is the right outcome under the notability standard WP:NSONG. There's no real reason you should have known to read that guideline before creating your articles, so don't take all the deletion notices personally. A lot of people's first experience on Wikipedia is creating an article and having it immediately tagged for deletion, which is unfortunate but the natural result of trying to keep a high-quality encyclopedia. I hope you stick around!  Glenfarclas  (talk) 18:22, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
