June 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to South Tamworth, New South Wales, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. AussieLegend () 15:22, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

South Tamworth[edit]

I have reverted your edit to South Tamworth, New South Wales again because it was problematic at best. References are added after individual claims, and definitely not at the beginning of the article before the infobox. That's completely wrong. You added a number of references but most are about individual crimes, which you've then used to justify the claim that the area has a high crime rate. This is classic WP:SYNTH, i.e. combining material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources, which is not permitted by policy. Your reversion of my edits also reverted the valid changes that I made, removing the coordinates from the infobox, and consequently the map, and reverting the 2016 population data to the 2001 data. This type of editing is not appropriate at all. A reader should be able to read a claim and then follow the reference after it to confirm that the claim is true. You are welcome to re-edit the article but be sure to add a source to each claim that explicitly supports the claim. --AussieLegend () 19:06, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Look I'm new to Wikipedia and I'm trying my best, give me a break. I never removed the coordinates or the map, and even if I did it was unintentional. Alpha Delta Dark (talk) 09:21, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that it was likely unintentional, which is why I posted an explanation, rather than a warning, here. --AussieLegend () 16:43, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yaoi[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Lullabying. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Yaoi, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. lullabying (talk) 07:51, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
