April 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm Rdp060707. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Spodumene, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ----Rdp060707|Let's discuss about the plans 08:47, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Kent G. Budge. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Spodume have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Hi Kent G could you be more specific with the offending sentences and or citations references as I believe all that I have provided is highly relevant to the subject on Spodumene an adding a

demand section is highly relevant now as there are major changes in demand in electric lithium ion batteries and EV uptake "revolution". It is also of relevance to show there will be a shortage of lithium due to the exponential demand forecasted by experts.

This revolution is global and affects everybody. Worthy of a section of its own Showing major car manufacturers and lithium compounds producers securing large long-term Spodumene contracts with some going direct to mines is latest Direction taken in the supply chain and shows the high demand in securing and shift away from Brine towards lithium hydroxide based on battery cathode technology chosen by major car manufacturers using Spodumene. I believe it's important to represent this change in demand, it is worthy to discuss and relevant to now and over the next decade. A Highly relevant section for Wikipedia readers to better inform them, as this is the source of where the main lithium will come from for these electric EV batteries I would like this section to remain and am happy to make the relevant changes I have spent much time researching the subject. Under Wikipedia page rules : advertising Wikipedia describes "External links to commercial organizations are acceptable if they identify notable organizations which are the topic of the article" Showing quantities of the deals is relevant to show the demand from each industry leader I have additional paragraphs to add describing Tesla spodumene deal with Piedmont and how it will be used in the production of lithium hydroxide for use in cybertruck batteries and production quantities expected There will also be an additional paragraph where BMW explain their preference for spodumene with a four-year deal with Ganfeng Please reply Bluelight27 (talk) 02:47, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It reads like a stock prospectus, not a neutral encyclopedia article. I am frankly concerned that you may have an undisclosed WP:COI. In additino, while you've added some citations, the sourcing remains poor. Much of the material remains uncited. --Kent G. Budge (talk) 13:49, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
