afd / self editing comment

Firstly, don't take the afd too personally - many articles undergo trial by afd, it is quite habitual in the English wiki. Many articles survive, and yours will probably too due to WP:PROF. Regarding editing the article on yourself, it is usually best to avoid this unless you really are correcting an outright clear error (and have references to back this up). What you can do, and will achieve better longer lasting results, is placing a list of corrections and requests in the associated talk page to be reviewed by others.
