Miracle of the Andes photo

[edit]

Great Photo! Thanks for sharing.. was it a tough hike up there?

Hi, I too want to thank you for the addition of the memorial photo. I would ask you also to provide some additional information in the text. I mean, if, as I suppose, in the photo it's depicted the mountain that Parrado and Cannessa did climb, you could provide some information about in the label of the photo. Many thanks in advance!! Not sure how to add the additional text for the photo...need a hint...

please excuse me for the late reply. I mean that you could provide this information in the caption of the image. For example something as "the point where Parrado and Canessa did climb the mountain is visible there)User:213.140.6.100 22:22, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have about 200 additional photos, taken on the 2006 expedition to the site, which also had Eduardo Strauch (one of the survivors) on the Expedition. I'm not sure if they could be used and in what context? A new Section on the Crash site Today?

The hike was not gruelling. The average person can do it as it's mostly on horseback. Just need a good backside and a head for heighs as the horses climb steep tracks. Once at the site, every stepis a struggle due to the altitude. The place is eary and loud noises of minor avalances of snow and rock all the time. It's also breathtaking to spend the time with one of the Survisors (Eduardo) who is such a humble and gentle man with great wisdom..BoomerKC
