I did an edit of your sandbox to show how citations can be set up and re-used. Basically, you're doing too much work - let wikipedia do it for you! All you need to do, for each unique reference, is make a full citation, and give it a name. Then the next reference, you can just use the named reference, as <ref name="name" />. It's even easier for books, because you can add page numbers after the reference, using {{rp}}. I did one for you, called "munnecke". Name can be anything.
Citations are very important in wikipedia, so whether you are using {{cite book}} or {{cite journal}} or {{cite whatever}} it is important to give all the information.
My style, I always put the last names in CAPITALS, but it's not essential.
