[edit]Hello, I'm Graham87. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Pike's Peak Gold Rush, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Thanks for your message, and your other edit to the Pike's Peak Gold Rush page, with a source. However, I've reverted that text as well, because it makes no sense in the discovery section or anywhere else in that article. Wikipedia does have articles about gold mining and silver mining in Colorado. A contemporary newspaper is not a good source for sweeping statements such as the ones you added; books giving an overview of the gold rush would be far better for this purpose. It'd also be far better if you could write the text in your own words, rather than copying it wholesale from a newspaper or book. Is your class registered with the Wikipedia Education Program, or do people at the School and university projects project know about it? Graham87 01:13, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
