A tag has been placed on Janice brabaw, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Janice brabaw is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Janice brabaw. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Jamoche 02:54, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Janice brabaw

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Janice brabaw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 06:55, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name and Brabaw's are very similar. If you are Brabaw or have some sort of direct connection to her, you have run afoul of conflict of interest guidelines. Self-promotion is prohibited at Wikipedia. Just because someone wrote a couple of non-bestselling books and has worked behind the camera on a few TV productions is not enough to clear Wikipedia guidelines for notability. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 17:59, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Janice Brabaw

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Janice Brabaw, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 17:56, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Janice Brabaw. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. The fact that you are doing PR for Brabaw means that you are paid to promote her, and therefore have a very direct conflict of interest. What you are doing is simply not allowed at Wikipedia, and you have done it twice already. If Brabaw is notable enough for an article at Wikipedia, someone independent from her will eventually post an article about her. But you, as her PR agent, are not the person to do this. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:37, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recruitung others to vote in AfD discussions

[edit]

Just a reminder that recruiting others to support your position in an AfD discussion is against Wikipedia guidelines. Moreover, creating other Wikipedia accounts for the purpose of voting in AfD discussions or various other Wikipedia procedures is specifically prohibited (see this page) and may subject you to immediate actions by Wikipedia administrators. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 05:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
