It has now been stated as fact that jack white had nothing to do with the production of the von bondies first record. And also, sire records has stated that jack white/white stripes had no influence in the signing of the band. So, please stop posting it. The old articles you are quoting are in fact old and untrue.

The von bondies only did 3 weeks of touring with white stripes, back in 2002. Before either of them were well known. Their only relationship is that Jack white once dated the von bondies ex guitar player marcie bolen. -Suzie Q

So the average reader who knows nothing of the two men are supposed to believe that Jack White simply assaulted Jason Stollsteimer for no reason? Your omission of supporting information infers that the altercation was random. If the reference to the altercation remains, then it must have some supporting information that establishes a relationship or reason. Without more information, the entire reference should be deleted.

Please stop reverting this article. As an infrequent editor you are clearly not aware of the issues, but that is no excuse after you have been told once. Wikipedia does NOT write articles about Flight numbers, it writes articles about incidents. The ONLY reason the article title is the Flight number is because of a standard naming convention, and we have literally hundreds of articles about air incidents named in this manner, a great number of which have also not had their Flight numbers revoked. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing completely. MickMacNee (talk) 23:11, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for sharing the rationale behind the flight numbers policy. I do not recall having "been told once" previously--your message here is the first attempt by anyone to communicate with me directly on the subject. The tone of your message, however, seems to be excessive, and seemingly not in line with Wikipedia's policies for administrators:
Administrators should take special care when dealing with new users. Beginning editors are often unfamiliar with Wikipedia policy and convention, and so their behavior may initially appear to be disruptive. Responding to these new users with excessive force can discourage them from editing in the future. See Wikipedia:Do not bite the newcomers.
Perhaps we have both learned something regarding Wikipedia policies. Good day. Brad00 (talk) 16:41, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin, but that's neither here nor there, I know enough to know had you continued, you would have been blocked by one - any editor is free to give warnings if they are valid. The initial 'being told' referred to my edit summary "article is about an incident, not a flight", which as you were using them yourself, I assumed you had already seen before you continued to make the change again. I would normally be nice as pie had it not happened that way, making it appear you were ignoring the first explanation, but I apologise if you took undue offence by me not coming here first, or did not fully appreciate the significance of my admittedly brief first explanation.
